On November 10, 2023, ‘The Marvels’ will be globally released. This cinematic creation featuring Brie Larson marks the 33rd installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Zawe Ashton is set to play the bad guy in the movie. She’s a new version of a Marvel character called Dar-Benn, who’s not that famous. In the story, Dar-Benn is part of the Kree Empire and wants to fix her home and get back at Carol Danvers. Marvel Studios often changes things up like this, like they did before with the character Mar-Vell in Captain Marvel.

The titular trio are forced to work together due to glorious comic book contrivance.
The chemistry is great, and Iman Vellani is bubbling with an infectious enthusiasm…
Both of the other two feel mishandled and don’t deliver performances as strong as we know they are able to…
The action scenes feel largely inserted rather than organic, though some do get creative and fun…
This is a great feminist piece, though it is not up to the standard of the Birds of Prey film, or ones like The Babadook and 2003’s Monster…
I recommend this to every fan of the MCU – note that this could be the first one you watch. 7/10.

I finally got the chance to watch The Marvels yesterday, and I was laughing at some of the parts that gave some sort of Disney musical vibes in my honest opinion, and also some animation Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse vibes…
But I gotta be honest, the writing, and the story, and the new villain was a pretty bad writing, except for Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel…
But like I said, it was an okay movie.

When it comes to the character of Captain Marvel, the fan base has always seemed to be so negative…
The Marvels picks up after the events of Captain Marvel, Wandavision, and Ms. Marvel…
The majority of the movie is about them learning to use their powers together and I couldn’t get enough of it honestly…
Otherwise, it’s not great by any means, but I had a good time and I think others will too.
